The Center of Excellence in Education

The Center of Excellence in Education (CEE) and Health Education Rural Outreach (HERO) is an organization devoted to meeting the education needs of healthcare professionals and community members.

CEEMED offers continuously updated continuing education activities for physicians and other health professionals. These activities have been planned and implemented in accordance with accredited organizations.

With a wide variety of instructors, classes, affordable prices, and flexible schedules, we will tailor courses to your specific healthcare education needs. The Center of Excellence in Education offers classroom training at the Center (located CEE Chico, CA and Shasta Regional Medical Center in Redding, CA), or CEE will travel to your healthcare or community location. Courses are contracted for the convenience of your office, your staff and your preferred destination. Let CEE provide customized, on-site education as a cost effective way to improve patient outcomes in your community.

The CEE is an accredited provider of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ through the California Medical Association/Institute of Medical Quality (CMA/IMQ). Additionally, we offer California Board of Registered Nursing and pre-hospital EMT-P continuing education.

As an American Heart Association Training Center for over eleven years, CEE provides ACLS, ACLS-EP, ACLS for the Terrified, PALS, BLS, NRP, First Aid and various levels of CPR. Let us bring these AHA courses to you. CEE offers initial AHA courses to healthcare providers and community new students or those whose cards have expired. Renewal AHA courses are for students who have current AHA cards.

Cardiac Essentials Workshop


Cardiovascular Essentials workshop visits many complications and treatments using practical applications. Students will explore the life saving and exciting current science and best practice information available to healthcare practitioners focusing on cardiac care. Along the way you will unravel the Mystery of the 12 Lead EKG; Cardiac Pharmacology; Women and Heart Disease; Acute Ischemic Stroke Update; additionally including ACS AHA Guidelines. This course doesn’t forget about the new RN or less experienced in the cardiac field and brings to you, Arrhythmias for the Terrified (of course everyone can benefit going back to the basics).

Director of the Center of Excellence In Education and currently serving the American Heart Association National Education Subcommittee her experience will bring current principles relevant to cardiac care using a low stress style and comfortable classroom atmosphere. Barbara also believes that making the healthcare staff laugh can only benefit our patients and chocolate is a food group!
